Casting AI Actors for Learning: How We Script, Direct, and Evaluate Roleplay Agents

An AI roleplay lets a learner practice a real situation, like a negotiation or a difficult conversation, with an AI character that reacts and gives feedback. The hard part is the agentic system behind it. We show how we design the scenarios, orchestrate specialized agents (character, coach, evaluator, etc), set guardrails, and evaluate performance against learning objectives, with the failure modes to avoid. Built at IESE and used by thousands of students. You will leave with a practical blueprint.
